Grip and rigging gear is something that we always seem to be collecting as photographers and filmmakers. No matter how much we get, we always have everything except what we need and end up still getting more.

Digtialfoto’s one of the names in that space, and they’ve just introduced their new Ironman Cine Arm. It’s a pair of magic arms made from stainless steel with an impressive 5-6kg load capacity. We stopped by the Digitalfoto booth at IBC 2024 to check them out.

Like most magic arms, they’re designed to let you mount cameras, lights, microphones, monitors and other hardware to things. Specifically, it in this case, things with a 1/4″-20 threaded socket or a cold shoe mount.

The smaller 7″ version boasts a 6kg load capacity. That’s quite the hefty load it can handle. Certainly more than any camera, light or monitor most people might ever want to put on it. The larger 11″ arm doesn’t lose much, though, it can still handle 5kg.
