Comedian creates amazing videos showing the difference between client budget and client expectation

There have been quite a lot of memes over the years about client budget vs expectation, but these examples from Paris based comedian Alex Ramires are absolute genius.
His low budget The Little Mermaid is hilarious. It’s pretty much a shot for shot remake of a song from the movie, with some pretty perfect camera work and the most amazing terrible props you’ve ever seen in your life.
As obviously cheap as it is, the attention to detail is impressive. Just about every single aspect of the sequence has been recreated, including random props in the background. You can even forgive the obvious strings suspending various items from above, and the hands that occasionally come to hold certain props in position.
Hey, it’s not easy simulating an underwater experience above sea level.
This isn’t the first low budget remake Alex has created. He has plenty more on his YouTube channel. And while the videos aren’t specifically about client budget vs expectation, they do highlight the difference between a Hollywood budget and almost no budget.
Each of the shorts remakes a scene from a popular movie, including Jurassic Park…

Harry Potter…

And even The Matrix…

It’s a wonderfully terrible series of remakes. There are 29 so far, and it seems there’s more to come. Alex promises a low budget video per week throughout the whole of summer. You can see the whole playlist here.
